Stamp Auction 5th September 2017

We were delighted to have the opportunity to offer for auction a ‘lifetimes’ collection of stamps which had been collected over an 80 year period.

Some 503 lots on offer attracted huge attention from all over the world via our two internet bidding platforms.

Prices peaked at £620.00 for an album of Chinese stamps (Lot 280).

Also stamps relating to the Third Reich and commonwealth stamps sold for £170 (Lot 188).

 

Country Sports and Equestrian Auction 7th September 2017

Our first auction of Sporting and Equestrian memorabilia attracted over 200 lots.

  • Specialist saddlery items sold to £240 for a leather splitting machine (lot 31) and a saddlers round knife for £35 (lot 33).
  • A Beretta 12 gauge over and under shotgun selling to £1100.
  • A Webley 22 Stingray air rifle reached £140 (lot 187) and a BSA Meteor .22 air rifle fetched  £55 (lot 188).
  • Golfing items being vintage sets of 15 clubs with hickory shafts sold from £80-£110 (Lots 129 – 138).
  • Books sold to £120 for a single volume of British Hunts and Huntsman (lot 140).
  • A vintage Bernard Weatherell gentleman’s hunt coat sold for £100 (lot 171).
  • A copper and white metal hunting horn sold for £110 (lot 182.)
