The Olympic Torch Visits McCartneys, Leominster

The crowds turned out in their hundreds to cheer the Olympic Torch through Leominster and brought the town to a standstill.

This wonderful spectacle is just the starting point of the Olympic celebrations before the main events begin in July.

The torch made its way past the McCartneys property office in Broad Street at 1.30pm proudly carried by local man Jordan Baxter.

Jordan ran the London Marathon last year for his Father who has Leukemia and completed the event raising a fantastic £10,000 for the Anthony Nolan Trust.

As the crowd dispersed after this amazing event the Torch headed towards Ludlow along with the rest of the parade.
