Personal Information

Daniel Fielder heads McCartneys Fine Art Department and is based at purpose built salerooms at Ludlow and Brecon. With considerable experience in the field of antiques and works of art, Daniel started his career some 20 years ago at a gallery in Eastbourne on the Sussex coast, specialising in Victorian pictures and the conservation of oil paintings and watercolours. In progressing his career Daniel then gained experience at Asprey in London, before returning to Sussex to head up two auction houses in Heathfield and Worthing, as auctioneer and valuer.

In 2001, Daniel decided to up-sticks and leave the busy southeast behind, settling with his young family in rural Herefordshire. Married to Elinor, with 2 young children, although passionate about his profession, Daniel still has time to pursue his outside interests including cricket, vintage motorcars and local history.
