Planning permission gained to convert a Grade II listed outbuilding into a Podiatry Clinic

Wed 14 February 2018

McCartneys LLP planning and survey department have obtained full planning approval and listed building consent for the change of use of an old pigsty into a podiatry clinic on the outskirts of Worcester on behalf of private clients.

With many of the older agricultural buildings no longer fit for purpose with modern farming methods, alternative uses are often sought. The new premises will provide a facility for a private podiatry clinic.  The practice will provide support for people with podiatry issues in the surrounding area, provide additional jobs and income.

The application was undertaken and submitted to the council by Lewis Price working from the from the Kington Office of McCartneys.  The development involved creating new floor levels and a small extension to provide the space and facilities for the new clinic.  The local council were keen to support the change of use of the building given its Grade II listed status to help ensure the building's future is safeguarded.
