Regarding the official sale for 2022 McCartneys as official auctioneers wish to inform vendors of this year’s sale the following points.

Entries for this year’s sale were a huge increase on the sale of 2021, this has resulted in there being a large amount of entries of both “C” & “D” lots. Indeed, far more than we are ever able to sell on one day.

With this in mind (and as per pre-sale adverts) we had no option but to move a similar percentage of lots from all the sections to the Friday sale to increase the numbers.

This was not a task we wished to undertake but was inevitable with the entries in front of us.

We can only reassure vendors that the response from prospective purchasers has been immense with record ticket sales of people coming for the three days of sales plus the fact that we have on-line bidding available via the “auctionmarts.com” platform for those who are unable to attend on any one day.

We endeavour to please all our vendors & buyers as much as possible but regretfully some will take us to task over it. For those worried please send us the photos of your lots so we can promote to a far and wide audience on our social media platforms. Remember the first lot and last lot of the days last year all sold for top prices.

As always, we will do our best and look forward to an excellent sale.
