Interest Free Loans

Interest free loans of up to £500,000 are available from the Government via the Carbon Trust aimed to help organisations and private individuals finance and invest in energy saving projects. Salient points of the loans are:

  • Can borrow between £3,000 - £500,000 interest free;
  • Anticipated energy savings will off set the loan repayments;
  • The loans are Government funded and unsecured;
  • Fast application process with no arrangement fees;
  • Conditional offers within 24-hours of application;
  • Loans can be repaid over a period of up to 4 years.

The loans are available (subject to eligibility) to private individuals and organisations including farms (in England). At the time of writing no guidance had been received from WAG in respect of loans for the Welsh Farming Sector.
