McCartneys recently held their annual sale of crossing rams at Ludlow Market, where just over 800 rams were catalogued.
One of the features of the sale was the championship trophy for the best Clun Forest Ram in the market. This perpetual cup was given for the second year running by Mrs. Marsh of Stokesay Farm, Craven Arms in memory of her late husband and his family.
Mr. David Watkins, Stormer Hall, Leintwardine, won the trophy for the second year running with his Clun Forest Yearling ram which sold for 290 guineas, It was purchased by a farmer from Much Wenlock,
