In the lamb classes Clun Valley Young Farmer, Miss Karen Morris, Moor House, Clunbury, won the Ludlow Young Farmers Perpetual Trophy for the best spring lambs in show. The texel x lambs sold for 180p per kilo and were purchased by a Warwickshire buyer.
A feature for the second year running in the cattle classes was the generous sponsorship by BOCM Pauls for the Best Butchers
Beast in show. A tankard plus 10 bags of cattle nuts was awarded to Ms. C.M. & W.C. Phillips, Batch Farm, Weobley. Their Limousin heifer weighed in at 505 kgs, at the fall of the hammer made 149.5p per kilo being purchased by MWM Wholesale Meats from Cheshire.
