However, I think it is safe to say that many famers were left feeling dissatisfied with the new scheme due to the considerable changes in the rules, which ultimately made putting together a “competitive application” very difficult.

    From 1st January 2016, Building Regulations covering construction of all new residential properties in Wales will change. It will become mandatory to have a water fire sprinkler system installed. This new requirement will have to comply with BS 9251 : 2014.

    Herefordshire Council has recently agreed to drop a recommendation to sell its entire estate of tenanted farms. However at the meeting when this was decided it came down to the chairman’s casting vote with the members of the relevant committee tied six all.
