Regular McCartneys auctions happen right across the firm and over in the North Worcestershire area with operations being overseen under our Phipps & Pritchard brand. Of the many auction highlights for Phipps & Pritchard with McCartneys across North Worcesterhire, this year’s sale of Melzer House in Kidderminster was perhaps the most sensational. The property is an Art Deco Style building located in the Horsefair area. It was formerly The Bird in Hand P.H before being converted to 11 flats in the late 1980's and functioning as a letting investment property. We offered the freehold with a guide price of £400,000 to £500,000 yet the final selling price absolutely sky rocketed to an incredible £652,000!
We almost always exceed our client’s expectations, but as with most things in life, things which may look easy often aren’t and take lots of skill and expertise to get right. The absolute key for success starts very simply though, and that is time, as the earlier you instruct us pre-sale then quite naturally the more we can do!

Therefore, we can give our properties special attention and high quality marketing. This is said on the basis that many agents have ties with the big auction houses and properties then become faceless getting lost in huge catalogues which is far from the case here.
