Blue Monday?

Mon 1 February 2016

Let’s face it, January is a bit of a long haul, we have all (just about) recovered from the excesses of Christmas, ignored our bank statements, waited for pay day, got the kids settled back into school, probably signed up for gym membership, battled against seemingly never ending rain and gale force winds; now helpfully all named so we know when to expect the latest onslaught from Gertrude or Jonas or maybe storm Kevin? We got though Blue Monday which is a miracle given the fact that all the news reporters spent the whole of that day telling us how awful everything is and to top it all no one I know won the £33m on the lottery.

But I bring you good news! If you are thinking of selling your home this year then now has never been a better time. The National Association of Estate Agents reports that stocks of available property are at their lowest for 10 years. This is evident across our branch network, we have high levels of demand from buyers who have very little to choose from. So whilst you may be looking out of the window thinking you will wait for Spring before you put your house on the market – think again. That is probably what everyone else is doing, forget the mud, forget the fact that your garden may look a bit dreary and take advantage of the market. Better to be selling when there is less competition!
If I have persuaded you to take the plunge (forgive the pun) you should call the agents voted Best in the UK, Best in Shropshire, Best in Wales and Best Agency Marketing West Midlands – that would be us, McCartneys!
