A much better trade than anticipated with an overall average of 240p/kg; far ahead of the national average which included several smalls averaging 210p/kg. again, every pen was competed for by 8 buyers, and there was a marked premium for well fleshed, quality lambs. Buyers are still short of strong lambs and the 39-45.5kg lambs averaged 250p/kg and so were still well in excess of £100p/h.

More lambs needed next week as strong export demand is expected.
