200 Store Cattle
The first supplementary sale of Farming type store cattle, weaned calves and breeding cattle drew a lot of interest from both Vendors and Purchasers with the ring full to the brim with interested parties. The inaugural entry of 200 head were sold to a fast trade with plenty of buyer support and demand for the strong cattle which topped at £1225 for steers and £1000 for Heifers. The best bred younger cattle topped the rankings per kilo at £2.28/kg for steers, £2.14/kg for heifers and £1.98/Kg for young bulls. This sale is geared towards providing an outlet for all types of cattle and the strong 24mth old dairy bred stores were especially well sold to a ring full of feeding men eager to put meat on the ample frames. A small entry of breeding cattle sold to £800 for an aged cow and calf. More Cattle will be needed next month to be offered to an even larger buying contingent. We have committed to ensuring this successful first sale will result in the fixture being established on a monthly basis. Prices were as follows:
