The trade was far better than anyone could have predicted following the doom and gloom reported in the fat cattle trade.

Many companies are refusing to accept finished cattle, however as a market we were grateful for what went through the ring and could easily have sold many more cattle on the demand we had. We had several forward stores (600kg plus) making between £1250 and £1395 which would be better than most fat outlets.
