Confirmation Obtained That Prior Approval Is Not Required for an Agricultural Building

Wed 18 March 2020

McCartneys Planning and Survey department have received confirmation that prior approval is not required following the submission of an application under the Prior Notification of an agricultural building policy.

The clients required a building to cover existing sheep handling pens on the farm near to Llandrindod Wells. The applicants looked to utilise the new Permitted Development Rights for Agriculture and Forestry, together with a grant application to help improve the affordability of the new building.

The proposed building met all the criteria as set out by the Prior Notification requirements and as a result confirmation was contained within the 28 days of which the local authorities are required to reply.

The application was undertaken and submitted to the council by Geraint working from the Kington Office of McCartneys. If you have any projects which you would like to discuss further contact Lewis Price on 01544 230 316 or geraint.jones@mccartneys.co.uk.
