Crackleybank British Blues to 4,800gns at Worcester on 20th October 2018

The Virtual Dispersal of the Crackleybank Pedigree herds of British Blues and Limousins for Paul Walker were hotly contested by a strong company of buyers at Worcester.
Quality was the order of the day with all cattle shown in top form and a credit to the owner. Top price went to a combined lot, the first Cow & Calf in the ring a British Blue Crackleybank Inca Girl Et – a 5 year old regular breeding cow 4 months in calf to a Limousin selling at 2,600gns to E C Haste, Beaworthy Devon. Her Pedigree bull calf 8 months old sold separately levelled at 2,200 gns to T J Griffiths Carmarthen, giving a combined total of 4,800gns.

British Blues were well in favour with Crackleybank Honey Girl ET a fifth calver back in calf to a Limousin, selling at 2,350gns also to E C Haste, Devon and her Limousin Cross bull calf 6 months old selling at 1,050gns to R J Wright, Somerton, Somerset – a combined figure of 3,400gns. A show heifer having won second at Royal Welsh Show 2016 was hotly contested Crackleybank Iron Candy and hit 3,200 gns and taken by K Morgan, Almeley, Hereford.

Limousins also held the limelight with Crackleybank Lisa a calved heifer and back in calf to a Limousin sold at 2,550gns to I Snape, Redditch, Worcestershire and her 10 month old daughter selling to 1,280gns to R J Gooding, Somerton, Somerset – a combined total 3,830gns. A commercial cow, a Limousin Cross British Blue 6 years old and Limousin bull calf 6 months old sold to a combined total of 3,780gns both to G P Brooke, Alfrick, Worcestershire.
