Dexters In Strong Demand Selling To 1620gns At Worcester Saturday 27th October 2012

A joint Breeders Production Sale of Dexter cattle at Worcester enjoyed nothing short of a flying trade in all sections with a packed ringside of buyers making their presence felt and culminating in a top price of 1620gns for “Too Loos Sweet William” a 2 ½ year old bull from Gardner & Digweed. He had been shown successfully taking 2 Reserve Championships and 2nd at the breed’s National Show 2011, a well bred bull who traced to “Beechwood Perrywinkle” that bred the 8,800gns “Knightsway Paddy”. The successful purchaser was R. Williams, Henley in Arden, Warks. Other bulls were closely followed selling to 1080gns for “Holberrow Red Rex” from George Godber’s Holberrow herd. The bull was out of “Holberrow Laurel” who had won 4 Interbreed Championships and was taken by W.R. Lea, Coleshill, Warks.
