Everything's Coming up Roses!!

Tue 29 May 2018

Now is the time of year when our gardens come into their own. The Malvern Spring Festival kicked off the horticultural year in style and last week we had the joys of the Chelsea flower show. At this time of year when not at work I can be found in my garden, no good looking for me in the house, the garden is where I will be and where I am most content. Last night as I was tying up my sweet peas and trying the stop the cats from scooping tadpoles out of the pond I thought how vital our gardens are to us all.

I chose the last two houses to buy based not on the internal accommodation/the kitchen/or the bathroom, but purely on the outside space. One for a magnificent magnolia tree which I still miss to this day and, the home I now live in for the beautiful cottage garden I have inherited from the previous owner.

So here are three of the most beautiful gardens (in my opinion) we have for sale at the moment. The good news is the houses come with them!

White Gables at Ashford Bowdler has a stunning garden, beautifully landscaped with various seating areas and a plantsmans/womens dream in terms of the variety of shrubs and plants. A joy to the senses and a haven for wildlife - highly recommended!

Foldgate Farm has a Japanese Zen garden, as soon you enter it a feeling of calm descends and the lovely pool reflects the magnificent house.

For Town living, 22-24 Old Street has a stunning walled courtyard style garden, with a south westerly aspect the wisteria is now at its best, with an abundance of climbing plants it is a sunken garden, an oasis in the middle of historic Ludlow.

So hopefully this has inspired you as much as me to consider everything a property has to offer.

To find out more about these beautiful gardens give me a call at our Ludlow office (01584 872153) or out of hours on my mobile (07976 591070) - I’ll probably be in the garden!
