McCartneys LLP planning and survey department have obtained full planning approval and listed buildings consent for the erection of a two storey extension to a rural cottage. The extension provides a utility and shower room on the ground floor and a double bedroom on the first floor. This extension provides the cottage with 2 bedrooms in total allowing a family to live in the dwelling.
During the planning application process, negotiations took place between the historic buildings officer and the agent, in order to agree on the scale of the development. The final design was agreed which provided the family with the additional bedroom and facilities they desired whilst not overwhelming the existing cottage and significantly impacting on the nearby listed buildings.
The application was undertaken and submitted to the council by Lewis Price working from the Kington office of McCartneys.
