Face Covering Update in English & Welsh Livestock Markets

Fri 11 September 2020

From Monday 14th September, face coverings are mandatory in Welsh Livestock markets the same as in England.

Face Coverings MUST now be worn by all customers, farmers and buyers attending English & Welsh indoor livestock markets.

Customers, farmers and buyers will not be allowed into any indoor areas of our livestock markets without a face covering (this includes sale rings and office areas), unless exempt.

The requirement to wear face coverings does NOT replace the requirements for social distancing and it is imperative that both social distancing and good hand hygiene are maintained to prevent the spread of the virus.

Ignoring coronavirus guidelines risks outbreaks and market closures. We therefore ask that all customers cooperate with the rules to ensure our livestock markets can remain open at this busy and vital time of year.

We thank you for your co-operation.
