A fantastic sale to finish the 2016 sales, with nearly 600 lots forward and some excellent items on offer. A large crowd in the saleroom and lots of interest from internet bidders.

Top lot went to a painting in coloured pencils by Dame Laura Knight RA 1877-1970 selling for £2,550 (Lot 221).

Also a Celia Percival, oil on board selling to £400 (Lot 377).

The watch section proved popular with ‘’Vertex’’ keyless watches selling at £880 and £900 (lots 201 and 202).

Jewellery also proved very popular selling to £730.00 for a beautiful five stone diamond ring (lot 233). Lots of other lots from £350 to £550. A box of ‘costume jewellery’ sold for £820.00 (Lot 262).

An interesting 1930 Harry Craddock Cocktail Book sold at £440.00 (Lot 145).

Chinese items sold well with a Cinnabar Jar fetching £400 (Lot 275) and several vases at £250-£500.

Victorian pine dressers from £320.00 to £820.00

One interesting lot was a 1950’s child’s Penny Farthing with a guide of £60-£80 selling for £210.00.
