McCartneys of Ludlow are pleased to announce another successful Antique and Collectables sale held on 16th October 2014.

The Portcullis was packed to the rafters with some 770 lots being offered for sale.

Furniture performed well with a pretty Edwardian china display cabinet realising £420, an ebonised folding games table £320, an oak sideboard £1,100 and a set of six Georgian dining chairs £1,000. A retro black and chrome Cassina lounger went under the hammer for £420.

Ceramics were popular with a set of four Royal Doulton napkin rings, Sairey Gamp, Sam Weller, Tony Weller and Mr Pickwick realising £240.

An H F Lucas Lucas oil of Dobbin sold locally for £310 and a framed Christopher Saxon map of Warwickshire and Staffordshire sold to the internet after a lot of competition in the room for £460.
