The August auction proved to be just as successful as every other month. A grand selection of 535 lots forward provided a wide and varied range of items suitable for every person attending at a wide range of prices.
Sale topper was a superb album of no fewer than 59 mostly pencil drawings from a wide selection of artists. After spirited bidding both in the sale room and on the internet this lot sold for £1,100.
In the general sale boxed items as always find the most interest and sold from £10-£140.Several lots of railwayania sold from £75-£125 for some boxed locomotives.
The boxed china sold to £180 for a 22 piece set.In the more general section of cabinet items a super Omega gentlemen’s wristwatch boxed with all the necessary paperwork sold for £480.
Silver items as always found much interest selling from £80-£145 for cream jugs and alike.
In the picture section a GREENSHIELDS 19c English landscape sold for £280. A set of six Ornithological prints sold for £160.
A very good selection of oak furniture sold regularly from 200-360. A 19c French Maple mounted Armoire sold at £360. A 18c oak box on bracket feet sold to £270.
Six oak dining chairs sold to 240.Eight Victorian Balloon back chairs sold to £250.
A 1920 four piece Oak bedroom suite sold for £220.
