McCartneys Portcullis Saleroom reports a buoyant sale on 20th June, with many buyers both in attendance and on the internet.  There were some 500 lots on offer with many exceeding pre-sale estimates. 

As expected, the highest price of the sale was a view of St Davids by Sir John Kyffin Williams.  Being rather dark and sombre, it was never going to realise what some examples do but nevertheless sold at £8100, just over the top estimate.

Other notable results included a Breitling Navitimer wristwatch at £1100; a pair of British School views of Ludlow Castle at £440; a 19th century cricket table at £300; an oak longcase clock at £360; a Grand Tour bronze jug at £250 and an Islamic pottery vase at £240.
