If there’s one thing I love about my job then it’s the variety of properties and people I get to see and meet on a daily basis. Each day presents a different challenge, which certainly keeps us all on our toes. No two days at McCartneys are the same and over the last two months the Welshpool office have listed such a diverse range of properties.
One of our July listings was a dilapidated bungalow of non-conventional construction, situated in the beautiful rolling mid-wales countryside, and in need of complete renovation. The property attracted buyers of all ages, from all parts of the UK, and we thoroughly enjoyed the interesting conversations whilst conducting viewings. Our client opted to use the modern method of auction, due to the potential and condition of the property, and the auction ended this week -almost £50,000 in excess of the starting bid. A result which we’re all very proud of.
On the other hand, this week we listed a most impressive, architect designed country house, set in 5 acres of grounds with a heated swimming pool and an abundance of modern fittings and features, not to mention the spectacular views. All for a modest asking price of offers over £1.2 million (Visit Property Details). We’re looking forward to finding the buyer for this home, wherever they may come from, and this is what helps make each day an interesting and exciting challenge.
