High Demand for Rural Property

Thu 16 June 2016

We’ve been delighted to receive instructions to sell some wonderful country cottages in Mid Wales over the last couple of months and the results have been excellent for our clients in terms of prices achieved and the time taken to agree sales.

There has always been good demand for the idyllic, Welsh country cottage with a couple of acres but demand this summer seems to have gone through the roof!

One such property at Deythuer near Welshpool (Pictured Above) with about 1.5 acres and some outbuildings had no fewer than 22 viewings in just over two weeks, taking us to best and final offers, with offers coming in more than 20% over its asking price.
Another near Guilsfield with slightly more acreage, was again inundated with viewings and a sale was agreed within days of it coming to the market.

A derelict cottage with about 7 acres near knighton recently received a great deal of interest as well when we put it to auction, with many people viewing and inspecting the legal pack and ultimately selling well on the night.
I have recently shown one couple around three of our wonderful country cottages and having been pipped at the post on two of them, I was delighted to be able to agree a sale to them on the third. Like so many of our buyers at the moment they were determined to secure an idyllic, Mid Wales home that they could put their own stamp on.
So if you are considering a sale of your rural property, whatever its condition, now is an excellent time to act. Why not take advantage of the strong demand from buyers and the lack of supply of this type of property coming to the market and see what results we can achieve for you.
