Kington Fat Sheep Report 29th March 2018

McCartneys of Kington report a small entry of 458 sheep on Thursday last the 29th March, which was expected due to the forth coming Easter holiday. The sheep trade has remains firm with good buying support. Good meat cover is a must on all sheep to receive a premium trade. Buyers are not afraid to pay for the sheep that meet their requirements so it is important for a good trade to select the right sheep to sell and keep hold of the leaner types for further finishing. The sheep in both the hoggs and cull ewe sections were dear again. We had an excellent trade in all sections with excellent buying support for the hoggs and cull ewes.
