Kington Fat Sheep Report Thursday 16th August 2018

Thu 16 August 2018

McCartneys of Kington report an entry of 1808 sheep on Thursday last the 16th August. The lamb trade has remained level throughout the week even given the increased numbers being marketed, which have been consumed by the buyers for the upcoming ethnic festival.
Good meated sheep are essential for a good trade in the lamb and cull sheep sections. There was good demand in all sections from a number of buyers which is good to see. Leaner sheep are at a disadvantage so it is well worth selecting the right sheep to sell.
