McCartneys of Kington report an entry of 1280 sheep on Thursday last the 19th July.
The lamb trade has firmed over the past week due to less numbers being marketed nationally and generally better meated lambs being marketed.

The cull sheep trade remains strong particularly for the good meated sheep.

The buyers require good meated sheep for their orders and these sheep are receiving premium prices. Leaner sheep are at a disadvantage so it is well worth selecting the right sheep to sell.
