Kington Fat Sheep Report Thursday 6th September 2018

Thu 6 September 2018

McCartneys of Kington report an entry of 1786 sheep on Thursday last the 6th of September, which also included the annual breeding ewe sale.

The sheep trade has eased slightly over the past week due to more lambs and cull sheep coming to the market particularly in the north of the country. There has been a number of thinner lambs and cull sheep which have been marketed over the past week which also affects the trade.

The buyers are requiring good meated sheep for their orders in all sections. There was good demand in all sections as long as the sheep were meat from a number of buyers.
