KNIGHTON MARKET – NEXT SALE OF STORE CATTLE (including BREEDING STOCK) AND YOUNG FEEDING BULLS – FRIDAY 17th AUGUST 2018

I write to invite your entries of cattle and sheep for the above auction and PLEASE NOTE ENTRIES WILL CLOSE THIS COMING THURSDAY 9th AUGUST 2018 AT 5.00PM.
Last Thursday we had an entry of 432 lambs which averaged 176.77 pence per kilo selling to 186 pence per kilo. Well meated lambs with finish are at a premium with purchasers not keen on leaner sorts. If you can spend that extra bit on supplementary feed it will pay. Again we had 7 purchasers in attendance and require more lambs weekly. 366 cull ewes averaged £66.84 to £110 and were a good trade right through. In the lead up to the Qurbani Festival (21st August 2018) purchasers will be requiring entire ram lambs with long tails (and double tagged) which are 6 months of age before 21st August 2018. If you have ram lambs to market before the festival please inform us so we can let purchasers know. We have a Qurbani Assurance Declaration which must be signed by the vendor before sale. Weighing from 8.00AM every Thursday.
