STORE CATTLE – 695 695 cattle on offer met a much sharper trade, with several new buyers present.
GRAZING COWS: This section goes from strength to strength. Grazing cows topped at £1,000.00 or 204.0p/kg to an average of £860.00 or 156.0p/kg. If you have any cows that will graze/feed please consider this section.
FEEDING BULLS: 229 bulls forward with a 100% clearance rate. Bulls topped at £1125.00 or 271.0p/kg to an average of £790.00 or 223.0p/kg. More bulls needed for the next sale on 23rd February.
HEIFERS: A really good entry of heifers with buyers present for all types and sorts. Once again butchers style heifers had their own following being passed back from the finished ring. Heifers peaked at £1130.00 or 319.0p/kg to an average of £800.00 or 202.0p/kg. More heifers needed for the next sale on 23rd February.
STEERS: A good selection of both grazing and feeding steers on offer. Steers reached £1245.00 or 286.0p/kg to an average of £982.00 or 202.0p/kg. Many more could have been sold to advantage. The next sale is on 23rd February.
