National Rural Business Awards Finalists Event

Fri 22 February 2019

The National Final will see the best rural businesses from across Britain come together to celebrate the Great British countryside, and to find out who exactly are the RBA’s national champions! The awards ceremony itself will be hosted by none other than Jules Hudson, of ‘Escape to the Country’. The event will include an address by the founders of the Rural Business Awards, Amazon, and several others. The awards will then be presented by our sponsors and judges.

McCartneys which was established in 1874 has fifteen branches throughout Wales, Shropshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire.  A diverse business, it includes the rural professional department, planning department, residential sales and lettings, two furniture auction houses and five livestock markets.

Jenny Layton Mills, Rural Chartered Surveyor at the Knighton branch of McCartneys who will be present at the awards said “Winning the award for the Best Rural Professional Services Business in the West Midlands is a testament to the hard work of our team, who are always prepared to go the extra mile for our clients. We are proud that our hard work and dedication has been recognised with this prestigious award and we hope we can go one step further at the National Final.

We carry out a range of services including land and property sales, farm dispersal sales, compulsory purchase, water and electricity scheme advice, grass keep and straw sales to name a few. We also act as Expert Witnesses on disputes and arbitrations. Basically, if something or someone effects a farm, property or land we can advise.

McCartneys will be represented at the awards on Thursday 28th February by their Chairman Clive Roads from Worcester Market (pictured below) and Rural Professional Partner Jenny Layton Mills (pictured below) who has been responsible for putting McCartneys entry forward to the panel. They have based their submission on always offering a lending hand to clients at all times of the day and in their hour of need giving level headed, sound and professional advice.
