Partner, Nick Millinchip and staff at the Stourport Office of Phipps & Pritchard with McCartneys were incredibly proud to be favoured with important instructions from West Mercia Police and Crime Commissioner to offer for sale BEWDLEY POLICE STATION plus TWO additional police dwelling houses which Phipps & Pritchard with McCartneys offered for sale by Public Auction on Wednesday 25th September 2013.
In describing the properties Nick comments; "As characterised by most public sector buildings the properties are of notably high build quality and stand particularly well in a prime location along Kidderminster Road right in the heart of historic Bewdley. Allied with the gravitas of their history all three properties have the extremely valuable benefit of private parking which is somewhat of a rarity given the town centre location. Going hand in glove with the unique opportunity which was on offer this certainly created some pretty 'arresting' pre-sale viewing activity with almost 100 sets of prospective buyers getting through the doors!"
The three 1950's properties consisted of 15 Kidderminster Road (this being the former station itself) plus numbers 17 & 19 Kidderminster Road respectively, each being purpose built three bedroom houses. On the actual night of the auction the phenomenal viewing interest manifested itself in fiercely competitive bidding and as such all three properties well exceeded their guide prices producing a combined total of £487,000
In conclusion Nick adds: "These properties where truly fascinating to deal with and to be given the opportunity do so in the first place also speaks volumes as to the experience, expertise and standing of Phipps & Pritchard with McCartneys within the local market and community. Whatever your property needs then we can help."
