Outline Planning Permission Granted Planning Approval for 7 Dwellings in a Conservation Area in Warwickshire

Fri 9 April 2021

McCartneys LLP planning and survey department have obtained outline planning approval for the erection of 7 new dwellings with Fillongley conservation area.
McCartneys were instructed by retained clients to obtain outline planning permission for residential development on a farmstead within the Fillongley Conservation area, within Warwickshire. The site itself fell outside of the development boundary of the village, however all fell within the conservation area. The proposal converts one of the traditional barns into two dwellings and replaces the remainder with a barn style development.
The site took a significant amount of time to gain approval due to capacity issues relating to the foul drainage in the area. In addition, although the application was only outline, indicative 3d views were provided to show how the development was intended to look.
The local planning authority assisted with the proposal given the potential overall benefits to the area, which resulted in some minor repositioning of the indicative units, with the end application approved under delegated matters.
The application was undertaken and submitted to the council by Geraint Jones working from the Kington Office of McCartneys. If you have any projects which you would like to discuss further then please contact Geraint on 01544 230 316 or geraint.jones@mccartneys.co.uk.
