2014 was another exceptional year for McCartneys collective auctions, despite a mixed year for the housing market overall. The main benefit we saw was the speed and certainty of the auctions, which I believe gave the buyers the confidence to bid and sellers the confidence to know that when the hammer fell and contracts signed there was no danger of cancelled sales and this is good news for everyone.
