Hundreds of people lined the streets yesterday as The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall attended the opening day of the Hay Literary Festival in Powys.
Staff at McCartneys Hay office were perfectly positioned to capture the Royal visit.
The festival which is in its 26th year now runs from 23rd May – 2nd June and children get the chance to meet their favourite writers.
Prince Charles, a keen supporter of the local countryside, was in jovial spirits and reacted with a smile to the on looking McCartneys surveyor with his camera at hand – in spite of the terrible weather conditions!
The festival transforms the town to a scene of busy shoppers, festival goers and temporary street stalls. It is a great opportunity to showcase the McCartneys range of properties to visitors from far and wide.
