A tremendous start to the New Year with property sales agreed being double over the same period as of last year. Buyers are coming from all over the country with all types of property requirements.

As yet, we have not seen a significant rise in house prices, however, if the demand continues to outstrip the supply then obviously values will rise in line with the national trend.

Whether it be small terraced townhouses, detached executive type family homes or country retreats there appears to be potential purchasers across the range.

With the extreme and excessive weather conditions throughout parts of the UK over the last three months there will be certain areas where buyers will be reluctant to move to. We have been most fortunate on the Welsh Borders to avoid the extreme flood conditions and I am sure that will be a “positive” in the tick box for an area to move to.

At last we appear to be back to the positive and buoyant property market of 2006/2007.
