Three New Associates for McCartneys LLP

McCartneys are pleased to announce the appointment of three new Associates. Simon Edwards, Phillip Blackman-Howard and Geraint Jones have joined the partnership as Associate Members.

Simon Edwards joined McCartneys in 2009 and is based in the Brecon and Llandrindod Wells Offices. Simon undertakes a wide range of professional work across much of Mid Wales.

Simon is a graduate of the University of Manchester, post graduate of the University of Reading, a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS),  Member of the Institute of Revenue, Rating and Valuation (IRRV) and a RICS registered valuer.

Simon leads a small team providing Chartered Surveying services. He is actively involved in the sale of all types of rural, residential and commercial property by private treaty, tender or auction. He has also specialised in valuation for secured lending, Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax and also looking after landowner interests against utility companies and government during large construction schemes such as the building of new roads or laying pipes or cables.

Phillip Blackman-Howard Joined McCartney’s just over two years ago. Herefordshire born & bred with an Agricultural background Phillip has worked within the Rural Professional sector for over 25 years.

Based in the Tenbury Wells office Phillip covers a wide range of professional work covering Single Farm payments, agricultural lettings, farm & land sales and property auctions as well as assisting in Ludlow, Worcester & Knighton livestock markets.

Geraint Jones, joined McCartneys LLP in 2007, after studying Building Surveying at Liverpool John Moores University. Geraint has progressed through the firm over the last 6 years, gaining Level 3 Diplomas in both Domestic and Non Domestic Energy Assessment (DipDea & NDipDea). Geraint is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) (Building Surveying Facility) and the RICS Registered Valuer Scheme.

Geraint undertakes a full range of professional duties, including new design, extensions and conversions of domestic, agricultural and commercial buildings, together with a wide range of planning and building regulations applications. Homebuyers Surveys and Building Surveys are an important part of his work, which also includes land surveys and Energy Assessments.

Geraint is based mainly at the Newtown and Welshpool Offices; he is keen to expand work within the local area and is looking forward to playing a major role in the future growth and development of the company.
