Time to Look in the Loft

Could this be the time of the year to have a look through all those items in your loft. Antiques and collectables are more popular than ever. The television is full of programmes promoting the business and believe it or not collectable items are short in supply.

The weakness of the pound against the euro has led to more items being exported and coupled with a strong home market this is the time to sell.

The Portcullis Auction room located at the Ox Pasture site near to the historic market town of Ludlow hold a regular monthly auction of around 500 lots. This is made up of generally genuine house clearance items, which means there is something for everyone.

We also hold special sales of Silver & Jewellery, Sporting and Equine Saddlery plus two auctions of classic cars and auto memorabilia.

One of the great advancements within the auction is the ability for purchasers to be able to purchase items 'online' through either of our two online bidding platforms, www.the-saleroom.com and www.ukauctioneers.com You can also come along and purchase in the auction room or bid via a telephone link, or leave commission bids for us to enact.

The auctions commence at 1.00pm and usually take around four hours so you can be back home for supper.

We are always pleased to advise on the value of items prior to sale and can offer a house clearance service to bring items to the auction room.
