Whitepool Dispersal Takes Honours at Belted Galloway Sale at Worcester Saturday 21st April 2012

The dispersal of Jane Smith’s noted “Whitepool” herd of Belted Galloways took most of the honours at the Society’s English Show & Sale at Worcester.

Top call of the day went to ‘Whitepool Nicole’, a calved heifer with heifer calf at foot, she took Reserve Female Champion in the preceding show and was a successful junior heifer having won at North Somerset, Bath & West and Great Yorkshire last year. She was secured by Mr James Alexander, Co. Antrim, N. Ireland for 3,500gns. Mr Alexander has a real eye for quality and also took ‘Whitepool Moondancer’, a fifth calver by Bolebec Dun Concord with heifer calf at 3,000gns.
