Worcester Oxford Down trade leads at 420gns on Saturday 11th August 2018

Sale leader at Saturday’s (11th August) Oxford Down sale at Worcester Market saw a top price of 420gns for the male and overall champion, a shearling ram from J W and M F S Brown, Tenby, Pembrokeshire.

Monkstone Tyrion is by Duntarvie Robert The Bruce and is out of a home bred ewe by Saxon Saracen. Securing this one was C R Lamb and Sons, Seahouses, Alnwick, Northumberland, for the Fleetham flock.

Next best in the shearling ram offering was a call of 400gns which secured a Greenlands-bred ram from J R Williams, Ceredigion. This one is by the homebred Greenlands Class Act and is out of a Barley Park ewe. Buyer here was A W Rutherland, Gretna, Dumfries.
