WORCESTER SIMMENTALS HIT 4,900GNS Satuday 9th May 2015

The British Simmental Cattle Society’s Inaugural Show & Sale at Worcester attracted a capacity crowd from across the country resulting in a brisk if somewhat selective trade and toping at 4,900gns.

The top call was for “Grangewood Eskimo” a first prize winning bull from AS & YA Leedham’s Derbyshire based herd showing an EBV on his terminal sire index in the top 20% and secured by Atkins Brothers, Burrow on Trent, Derby. Messrs Leedham had a successful trip overall with their other bull “Grangewood Frontier” also having won First Prize in the preceding show and levelling at 3,500gns to DW Jones, Cardigan.
