A short drive north of the property the road opens onto the immense Brechfa Common, one of the most scenic and beautiful parts of the area, with Brechfa Pool being a Site of Special Scientific Interest enjoying several rare plants and being a haven for wildlife. Brechfa Pool with the mountains behind is reputed to be one of the most painted views in this part of Wales. The surrounding lanes provide wonderful riding, walking and cycling.
