Location
Located at the bottom of Old Street, reputedly one of the oldest inhabited sites in Ludlow, Riverside is a double fronted Grade II Listed late 18th Century Townhouse. The undercroft beneath is believed to date back to the 9th Century when the site was a guard post to the ford. Originally, Old Street ran down to a ford which took the ancient route south across to Ludford. A bridge was constructed (possibly by Josce de Dinan) at the foot of Broad Street, upstream of the ford, which then replaced the ford; its 15th-century replacement is the present-day Ludford Bridge.

Agents Note
The property has suffered flooding, in 2007 and in February 2020. The current owners have since made extensive repairs and alterations to the ground floor to help to future proof any other flood incidents.
