Bradley joined McCartneys in October 2019 to assist with the operation of both Ludlow and Worcester markets where he sells livestock on a weekly basis. Bradley is a qualified member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and a Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (CAAV) which enables him to carry out a wide range of rural professional work for clients.

Bradley was born in Gloucestershire where he developed a passion for farming from a young age. He grew up spending any spare time working on both arable and livestock farms in the county which gave him a practical knowledge and understanding of farming systems.  Leaving school as soon as he could, Bradley attended Hartpury College, Gloucestershire where he attained a National Diploma in Agriculture before spending two years working on farms in New Zealand and Australia. Following that, Bradley attended the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester where he gained a First Class Honours Degree in Agriculture, winning the best overall student of the year award, and a Master’s Degree in Rural Estate Management.  Whilst studying at Cirencester, Bradley worked part time for a firm of auctioneers in Gloucestershire which gave him a good foundation of experience in livestock and machinery auctions as well as an insight into rural professional work.

After Cirencester, Bradley spent four years in Somerset/Dorset working as an Auctioneer where he sold cattle at Frome Livestock Market as well as conducting farm dispersal sales, property auctions and undertaking a range of general professional work. It was during his time in Dorset that Bradley achieved his professional qualifications.

Aside from a general interest in agriculture, Bradley enjoys countryside pursuits and is a keen horseman.  He also likes shooting, and other social aspects of the rural community.

As a qualified professional and with a strong background of practical farming experience, Bradley advises on a wide range of professional matters including:-

  • Farm sales and acquisitions
  • Livestock sales and purchases
  • Farm letting
  • Grazing and arable licences
  • Valuation of rural property and livestock (for bank lending, probate etc)
