I started at McCartneys in January 1984. Although employed to run the market at Knighton my first day was spent at Worcester on it’s reopening by McCartney, Morris and Barker. Indeed I spent many interesting and happy days at both Worcester and Ludlow during my early years with the firm. I well remember a decrepit Austin Maxi trundle into Worcester market one Wednesday morning and the farmer open the back door and two pigs emerge from the back seat ready to be sold. Who had then heard of the phrase ‘bio-security’!
I have been privileged to practice in a most beautiful part of Britain and inherited a client base that has been a pleasure to do business with and for. Expanding such a client base and the range of professional services offered has been the source of much satisfaction.
We have a first class team at Knighton and our aim is to provide our customers with an excellent service. At the same time such endeavour should be enjoyable and worthwhile.
Family support is provided by my wife Debbie who is an infant teacher. We have three children Ed, Andy and Kate and whether they support me or I support them is a matter for debate!
