Having left the Royal Agricultural College in 1975 with a Diploma in Rural Estate Management, Les joined McCartneys as an assistant at the Kington Office. In 1977 he became a fully qualified member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, and later a member of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers.
In 1980 Les became a Partner and moved to Craven Arms, where he ran the Livestock Market and the Rural Department. Following the retirement of the Property Partner Les took overall charge of the office, running both Rural and Property departments. He now concentrates on all aspects of both Property and Agricultural sales and valuations.
Married with three children, Les still lives in rural Herefordshire, close to the family farm where he was born and brought up.
