738 PRIME LAMBS
A much better entry on the week in terms of numbers forward and with the general quality right up there with the best. The best lambs reached £103.55 and 216ppk with well fleshed and top conformation, continental lambs again at a marked premium. The predicted improvement in trade for export quality lambs has materialised but not to the extent that we were hoping for. The lamb trade is however heading in the right direction at last. Follow our predictions through the week via social media and the website and we hope an even larger entry will be forward next week to be sold at an improved trade. The SQQ average of 175ppk and the overall average of 171ppk, was again well ahead of the HCC National Average for Tuesday. Note - Farm Assurance is important and the girls in the office require the ‘Green Forms’ to be filled out and signed with consignments.
