Although there was marked change in the prices for the strongest cattle (600kg+) where £1250 seemed to stop most types, the smaller quality cattle would have been very similar to the spring trade with plenty of quality young steers and heifers making between 230-250ppk and no shortage of buyers. The steers would have averaged £1032/head whilst heifers were a staggering £950/head which would be a fantastic trade compared to the fat markets.
